Our organization provides Fire, Rescue and Emergency Medical Services in the district. Additionally, we provide the primary ambulance service for the town of Georgetown. Working closely with the Georgetown Fire Department, the Erie 4 Fire company and in our own town, we respond to approximately 900 to 1,000 calls annually.

On the Medical front, we offer Basic, Intermediate and full Advanced Life Support (Paramedic) services to our patients. For more information on the department, click the links above.

The majority of our funding comes from donations and moneys collected from ambulance transports. Most of our equipment (including fire trucks and ambulances) is purchased by the Company and not with tax dollars.

We need community support. Perhaps the most fun way to help us help you is by attending the annual Fireman's Ball.
The members of Protection #1 would like to thank our friends who supported us this year both by attending the Fireman's Ball (which was a wonderful success) and through many generous donations.
